A great piece of satire from The Joy of Tech.
Life is fragile.
With regard to Steve Jobs supporting a Bill in California along with government officials that would have the Department of Motor Vehicles ask people if they want to be an organ donor when they get their license.
Thank you, you’re awesome.
I lost my girlfriend on April 23, 2008 from melanoma which spread rapidly to her liver, 48 hours after we found out it spread to her liver she sadly passed...
Morally Responsible
Steve, I was converted to Apple products with the announcement of the iPhone 3G. (My friends have been trying to convince me for years.) Since then I’ve purchased 4 iPhones, 2 computers, several routers, and miscellaneous other items. Unfortunately, I’m really starting to have a philosophical issue with your company. It appears that more and more Apple is determining for it’s consumers what...

Every 50 clicks, my trackpad will stop responding for five to clicks. Generally this will resolve itself given a few seconds, and is not directly dependent on number of times the trackpad is clicked while unresponsive.

Hey Steve,
I was really looking forward to a Core i3 or i5 13’ Macbook Pro. Any chance you can explain why you can explain why you stuck with the Core 2 Duo?

Far faster graphics and 10 hour battery life trump 10-20% faster CPU.

Awesome
Steve,
Getting worried about Apple’s interest in Final Cut. Last updates were not stellar. I heard a bunch of engineers were dropped too – give us a sign you still care about Pro Video, not just the iPad.
Thanks,
Alex
Steve:
We certainly do. Folks who left were in support, not engineering. Next release will be awesome.

Mistakes Were Made
While someone can still view these on the web with no problem, I would like to say that having these and others of their ilk available more widely as apps is a benefit to society. While ridicule might be involved, they it can play an important role in civic discourse — look to the Fool in King Lear, or other similar jesters in a royal court for examples the importance of satire.

Hi Steve,
Lots of people are pissed off at Apple’s mandate that applications be “originally written” in C/C++/Objective-C. If you go, for example, to the Hacker News homepage right now:
http://news.ycombinator.com/
You’ll see that most of the front page stories about this new restriction, with #1 being: “Steve Jobs Has Just Gone Mad” with (currently) 243 upvotes. The top 5 stories are all...

Dear Steve Jobs,
I wanted to write and express my concern about some recent problems that I have had with Apple Care. This week, my MacBook Pro unfortunately sustained water damage. I understand this is entirely my fault but it is still something I would like to get fixed. After three or four calls I was finally able to get a straight answer. While I...

“I recognise the need for secrecy etc but I am really losing heart in the lack of vision for the MBP and Mac Pros. Not expecting a response but as someone who has personally switched dozens of people onto the mac way this is a sad email for me to compose.”

Not to worry.
No.
I’ll keep it short.
I’m Jezper from Sweden, a long time Apple fan, currently about to replace the very last computer at home with a brand spanking new iMac i7. I’m also awaiting the release of the iPad. However, I have one question:
Will the wifi-only version somehow support tethering thru my iPhone?
Two devices, based on the same OS, with already built-in technology to...
